Manga Art Exchange (MAX) is this site that opened in late December 2001 as a go-between for artists to draw each others' characters. As a charter member of MAX, here's a display of what I've given and gotten out of it. Rounds run every half month, and sign up is open to anyone. Visit their site for details. Kyence: "This was an interesting piece for me. I liked the zaniness of the comic, and I think it led to my choosing bolder colors. Also, that's Melon taking the picture, but who is she actually taking a picture of?? And does Egg have a clue that Mr. Sun is giving her bunny ears?" Yet more architecture series! A magic portal linking planet Earth and planet Tokame, the Starlight Temple is a closely guarded and highly coveted monument rising above the ruins of Escablanche. Materials: fiber tip pen. Incoming From: Iggy Iggygirl Yueh and Hsiao Lin from Tomorrow's Tales 
Tomorrow's Tales was a comic that never got beyond the concept stage, but interesting as a result has some of the most complete character concepts. February 2004 B Outgoing To: Monica Elemental Dimension Kai Vhail Hertwin from Elemental Dimension, a fantasy magic story.

Sabrea: "It's A. Twu's Dumg Egg. I couldn't get too much info on the character because A. Twu's website won't load on my comp. Another one in the Architecture Series. I took the quiz on the Demon Gate site and it identified me as being most like Harex, so I chose to draw him. The real star of the picture of course though is the Demon Gate itself, a portal guarded by stone dragons, linking the demon world with the human world. Materials: Pencil.
